Everything in art has a symbolic meaning, even if the artist doesn’t intentionally create with a specific meaning in mind, or the viewer doesn’t understand the meaning. It comes out naturally, most of the time, without us knowing. Images can be interpreted by thinking of what the object’s function is and flipping it symbolically.
